Adotta Wallen is a fully-featured interior wall system, clad with real wood, conceived and designed by the award-winning GEZA Architects from Udine, Italy. Adotta, with their deep product knowledge of wall systems, engineered Wallen to maintain the beauty and warmth of the original design, while creating a comprehensive wall system that can work in many configurations and any building condition.
Wood framed wall system designed by GEZA
The core of the framing is precision-extruded aluminum for superior acoustics and stability during seasonal climate variations. The outside of the system is 1/2” thick wood, so that you can have the impression of millwork without having to design and build the entire wall from scratch. Wallen profiles are ordered slightly oversized and cut in the field so that you always have precise joints, and there is less need for expansion joints due to the aluminum skeleton. The vertical profiles between glass panes may be 3/16” anodized aluminum, 3/16” clear polycarbonate, or simply glass-to-glass with 3M VHB biadhesive tape.

Wallen’s wood finishes are designed with a horizontal grain which will be consistent across all pieces including the door and electronics module, so that you never have to worry about matching a stain or grain.
Wallen swing doors are designed to be flush with the front of the wall system, with the grain aligning to match in an uninterrupted flow. The rabbeted door frame is designed for acoustic performance, with gaskets around 3 sides of the door, dyed to match the wood finish. At the bottom of the door is an optional automatic acoustic drop-seal which can increase your STC points further. Wallen swing doors can be made in full solid wood, or with wood-framed glass. Alongside the door, a special module is available where you may include electronics such as light switches, card readers, room schedulers, or thermostats.
Doors flush with front
Wallen sliding doors come standard with a soft-close mechanism for the structural integrity that you expect from a complete wall system, and the smooth opening and closing that you will expect from any Adotta product. All Wallen sliding door components are available in solid wood, in the same veneer to match the rest of the wall system’s profiles.
GEZA’s first project with Wallen, Faber Headquarters, won The 2017 American Architecture Prize, and was a finalist in the 2015 BigMat Awards. Adotta, with their deep product knowledge of wall systems, engineered Wallen to maintain the beauty and warmth of the original design, while creating a comprehensive wall system that can work in many configurations and any building condition. Adotta Wallen won the 2017 Architizer A+ Award in the glazing systems category.
